One of Green Monster Arts driving principles is an interest in the environment and in using the arts to empower people and give them a sense of ownership and responsibility towards their surroundings. Working in a way that is accessible and fun, Green Monster Arts employs many different methods on a diverse range of projects including public art, community celebrations and festivals, playschemes and residencies with schools and groups in parks, playgrounds, greenspaces and community buildings.

We work with all ages and abilities, including special needs, from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds.

Consultation

Green Monster Arts offers a service of creative consultancy using a mixture of art, design and techniques developed from training in the 'Planning for Real' method of consultancy.

Costs

Costings for Artworks:

Without a specific budget and design it is impossible to give costings for future artworks. What we can do however is give you a breakdown of our standard charges and the stages involved in a project.

Typical breakdown of a project budget:

• Research @ £175 per artist day
• Workshop (a morning, afternoon or evening session) with 2 artists @ £175 per workshop
• Design time @ £175 per artist day
• Fabrication variable
• Materials variable
• Installation & site preparation variable
• Administration, meetings, liaison, insurance etc. about 15% of overall budget
• Documentation & evaluation @ £175 per artist day

Residencies in Schools

1 day workshop with 1 artist  = £300 + materials
(this includes an initial visit with the school (if the school decide not to go ahead 
with residency at this stage no charge will be made))
